Installation and Commissioning
Bergmann Direct have been supplying the Eco-Smart Food Waste Dryer in the UK since 2011. Our team of engineers and trainers have vast experience of installations in a variety of settings in hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, prisons, universities and commercial food businesses.
The dryer is normally located in the kitchen area, or near to the kitchen where it is accessible to kitchen staff.
Services: you will need a power supply and a nearby drain within a couple of metres of the unit:
- 16A, single phase for the smaller units – ES30 and ES60
- 32A 3-phase for the ES80, ES150 and ES300
- 63A 3-phase for the ES500
The drain can be a floor drain or standard sink drain. The machine comes with a stainless steel flexible drain pipe but it can be connected with a 15mm copper pipe or a PVC push-fit pipe.
Location and Portability
The machine has castors which allow it to be wheeled into position which retract and screwed feet (just like your fridge or washing machine at home), so it doesn’t move around.
Training
The Eco-Smart Food Waste Dryer is very easy to operate. We will walk you through the safety features and displays and the procedure for loading and discharging. There are some basic housekeeping routines to keep the doors clean. Every trainee gets a signed certificate of competence.
